Georgetown Lovin'

I absolutely love spending time in the city shopping, eating and going out. Last week I spent my break in DC. I had never been before and it was so much fun! While in DC, I went shopping around the Verizon Center and Georgetown. Georgetown reminds me of Back Bay in Boston and I am in love with Back Bay; it reminded me of being home.

Usually during the week when I'm busy TRYING to be a college student, I don't have the time to get ready as much as I did during break (you'll probably find me rocking sweats or yoga pants and a big ol messy bun on top of my head). I had a lot more time to get made up before shopping and spending the day in the city.

I pretty much packed up the makeup that I mostly use and what I would consider to be my "favorites". During the day I like to keep my look simple. I usually wear a lighter, neutral eye, bronzer to warm up my face and I always need something on my lips, even if it's a clear lip balm. I feel naked with bare lips.

My Favorites From This Look:

Dior DiorSnow BB Creme- It only comes in one color and is a little light for me, but this has the best coverage I've seen in a BB Creme. It also has wonderful benefits for your skin, unlike drugstore brands that don't offer any skin care benefits. The DiorSnow line is meant to even out and brighten your natural skin tone. Overtime, hyper-pigmentation and dark spots from post-acne or aging will fade and your skin will look healthier and brighter.

Maybelline DreamLumi Concealer in Ivory- I use this for my under eyes and as a highlight down my nose and above my cheekbones. I like this more than my Benefit Erase Paste and it's $20 cheaper! I will show you how I cover my dark circles and highlight with this concealer later (inspired by Kim K).

MAC Sunbasque Blush- I have used this same color blush since I got my makeup done at MAC for Junior Prom when I was 16. It is perfect for olive or golden skin tones. It is the perfect bronze-peach color and has a slight, not overwhelming shimmer to it. The shimmer adds a "glow from within" look instead of sparkle-city (not trying to pull off the Twilight look).
